Meet Arusha
Arusha is a registered mental health nurse and specialist safeguarding practitioner who has worked in safeguarding since 2016. Her professional experience includes working directly with highly vulnerable adults in mental health settings, alongside her specialist safeguarding practice supporting professionals with complex situations.
Arusha has a particular passion for supporting and advocating for practitioners. She believes professionals are better able to safeguard others when they feel supported, confident in their role and able to access the knowledge and guidance they need.
Training is a particular area of interest for Arusha. She is passionate about creating engaging and inclusive learning experiences that are accessible, adaptable and meaningful for everyone. She particularly values approaches that encourage participation, discussion and practical application rather than simply delivering information.
Her experience across mental health, safeguarding and professional support brings a valuable perspective to IRIS Safeguarding, complementing Rosie's experience and strengthening the breadth of support we can offer to organisations and practitioners.
