Effective safeguarding always depends on the same foundations: knowledgeable professionals, reflective practice and strong organisational culture. IRIS Safeguarding brings these together through three complementary services designed to strengthen safeguarding at every level.
Reflective Safeguarding Supervision
Reflective safeguarding supervision provides protected time for professionals to think, reflect and strengthen their safeguarding practice. Every session is shaped around the needs of the individual practitioner or team, creating a psychologically safe space for honest reflection, respectful challenge and professional growth.
Discussions may explore complex safeguarding cases, professional decision-making, the emotional impact of practice, inter-agency working, learning from experience and identifying themes that strengthen future safeguarding.
Available as:
Individual reflective supervision
Group reflective supervision

Training
IRIS Safeguarding provides interactive, bespoke safeguarding training designed to build knowledge, confidence and professional curiosity. Rather than relying on lengthy presentations, training encourages participants to actively engage with realistic scenarios, explore professional decision-making and learn through discussion and reflection. We are committed to creating inclusive learning experiences that enable everyone to engage with the training in a way that works for them.
Training is tailored to your organisation and can focus on safeguarding children, safeguarding adults or a Think Family approach that brings both together. Whether you're looking for a full level 1, 2 or 3 safeguarding programme, shorter workshops or bespoke sessions exploring safeguarding themes relevant to your service, we'll work with you to design training that meets your organisation's needs.
Safeguarding Consultancy
IRIS Safeguarding offers practical, independent consultancy tailored to your organisation's needs. This may include safeguarding audits, policy reviews, complex case discussions, developing reflective supervision programmes, embedding restorative approaches or supporting wider safeguarding improvement.
Whatever your organisation is trying to achieve, consultancy is collaborative, practical and focused on creating sustainable improvements in safeguarding practice.
