Meet Rosie
I have a particular passion for reflective safeguarding supervision and for creating spaces where professionals can think openly about difficult situations, explore uncertainty and reflect on their practice.
As a Professional Nurse Advocate, I have trained in the A-EQUIP model of restorative clinical supervision and incorporate its principles into my safeguarding supervision practice. I value the restorative element of supervision alongside reflection, professional challenge, learning and psychological safety, particularly when professionals are working with emotionally demanding and complex safeguarding situations.
For me, good supervision isn't about telling someone what they should have done or do now. It's about creating enough space to ask why, explore what might have been missed, consider different perspectives and strengthen professional judgement.
I am passionate about making safeguarding thoughtful, accessible and practical. I don't believe safeguarding expertise is about having every answer. It's about knowing how to recognise what matters, ask the right questions and seek the right support to make informed decisions.
Qualifications & Professional Registration
BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing – First Class
Registered Adult Nurse (NMC)
Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting and School Nursing) (NMC)
MSc Public Health Nursing (Distinction)
Professional Nurse Advocate
My professional journey began in adult nursing, before moving into health visiting and school nursing. These roles gave me the opportunity to work alongside children, adults and families at all different points in their lives.
I have worked as a specialist safeguarding practitioner within an NHS mental health trust since 2019, supporting professionals across health and multi-agency settings with complex safeguarding situations involving children and adults.
My experience across the life course, from pregnancy and infancy through to older age and end of life, has shaped the Think Family approach that sits at the heart of my practice. I am particularly interested in what happens when we look beyond the immediate concern and consider the wider relationships, experiences and circumstances that may be influencing someone's safety and wellbeing.
